If At First You Don’t Succeed!

So, finally, after months of rather chaotic eating I’ve started preparing food again! ๐Ÿ™‚ I announced my intention to do this somewhat prematurely in June, twice, in both Edinburgh Personal Trainer Matt Lazenby And The 5 Day A Week Workout Of Wonder! and Edinburgh Food Porn Fantasiesย but never actually got myself in gear. This time I’ve waited until I’ve actually started my mass building nutrition program before rambling about it! ๐Ÿ™‚

Eat Big! Get Big!

I’ve finally settled on these tasty delightsย for 5/6 days of the week ย –

Meal One

100g mixed cereal – Lidl fruity muesli, nutty muesli & oatmeal, scoop of protein powder (I’m currently using Dorian Yates Tempro), banana

Approx 650 cals ~ 28g protein, 110g carbs, 9g fat

Meal Two

150g chicken, 100g white rice, 250g Lidl sweet & sour sauce, 250g veg (red onions, peppers, courgette, mushrooms, garlic)

Approx 700 cals ~ 53g protein, 125g carbs, 10g fat

Meal Three

Meal Four

250g beef, 2 tortilla wraps, leaves, fajita spices

Approx 790 cals 64g protein 64g carbs 30g fat

I drink coffee (currently waaay too much!) and ice cold water. I love ice cold water! ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ve done all the numbers obviously so for those of you who are interested in such things here they are –

What, do I do on the other 1/2 days a week you may ask? In short, whatever I like! ๐Ÿ™‚ Burgers, ice cream, pizza, you know the kind of stuff I like by now! ๐Ÿ™‚ Check out Edinburgh Food Porn Fantasies for a more in depth breakdown of my fave food porn destinations in Edinburgh. Note that Brgr on Nicholson Street and Byron on North Bridge have replaced Burger Meets Bun as it’s sadly closed now!

How on earth will I know whether to eat all this on 1 or 2 days of the week you may ask next? I’m undereating slightly on 2500 cals a day and as soon as I go flat (muscles are a bit soft and small, less energy for workouts, not pumping s much or as easily) I’ll eat for a day. I’d guess this is going to be every 5 – 7 days. If ย I fill up again (muscles look bigger and fuller, veins pop out, I feel pumped just walking about) I’ll go back to the 2500 the next day. If I don’t I’ll eat for another day.
