Tired, Grumpy Ramblings :o)

“Don’t take life too seriously… no one gets out alive anyway”

Although this is called ‘Tired, grumpy ramblings’ I’m including these definitions because it’s my blog and I’ll define what I want to :)

weary (weer-ee)
adjective
1. Physically or mentally exhausted by hard work, exertion, strain etc

surly (sur-lee)
adjective
1. churlishly rude or bad-tempered

I’m writing this on Friday evening rather than my usual Thursday morning slot and I have say that right now I’d really rather not be writing this at all; I’m tired and grumpy :) I want to go home, curl up with Namid the hedgehog and play Assassins Creed Revelations – I’ve a new love, the game that is, not the hedgehog :) I’m so grumpy that I wasn’t even going to include any definitions this week but if a job’s worth doing as they say :)

Anyways, I left you last week I left you with this paragraph -

“Next week I’m going to ramble about change :) It’s afoot, it’s fun, it’s exciting and it’s a wee bit scary. Love it or loath it it’s inevitable and unsurprisingly I recommend throwing yourself into it headlong and embracing it 100%, while remaining relaxed and calm obviously” :)

So what’s changing? Well lots, including the content of this post apparently, but not quite in the way I was expecting :) I had intended to have the holding page for the physique and performance (my exciting new project with Mike Pratt, mate, long time training buddy and business partner) website up for you all to see but despite the best efforts of all involved it’s not ready yet :(

In my enthusiasm to embrace everything and throw myself into it I’ve overdone it slightly and tried to push things along at a faster pace than realistic, leading to a minor breakdown on the relaxed and calm front too :) As a result I’m knackered, which is annoying, and grouchy which is amusing :) It’s just been one of those weeks :)

In keeping with the change theme though, I’ve got a new phone. It’s a lovely black iPhone 3GS :) Also in keeping with the theme (the ‘it’s been one of those weeks’ bit this time) I’m not using it yet :) I struggled to find the sim slot, then I couldn’t get the sim out of my old phone, then I couldn’t find my contacts, now I know how to but I also know myself too well to embark on such a project when I’m this tired as it’ll all end in tears :) Its all a little frustrating to say the least :)

I’m not going to go on any longer now, I’ve had enough of my own grouching :)

At this point you may be surprised to still see so many smilies in a blog entitled ‘TGR’ but at the end of the day life’s good. I’m injury free, more relaxed, sleeping well, training well, eating well and my personal training clients are doing well. Regular readers will know that I think you create your own reality and I’m not going to be fooled into thinking mine is anything less than wonderful by a lack of sleep and a bout of grumpiness :)
