More Changes for 2012 – Physique and Performance :o)

Hello Once More Readers

This week sees a wee delay in part two of my gym reviews as I’ve not had time to get around to visiting them all yet I’ve been busy though and I’m now in a position to make a proper announcement – though the holding page is still in limbo – regarding my new venture with Mike Pratt, Physique and Performance.

Those of you who know me personally, have read my bio on here or have worked with me as a personal trainer will know that to say I’m passionate about what I do is an understatement. I’ve been training with weights for over 30 years now and my love affair with them has totally changed the course of my life. To this day my passion continues unabated and my desire to increase my knowledge and to improve my own performance, and to use this in turn to help others to improve is even greater now than in my youth. It’s from this desire that Physique and Performance has been born.

At this point I’d like to introduce you to Mike Pratt. I’ve known him now for over 25 years and Mike has been without a doubt the single biggest influence on my own career. On a personal level I’m proud to call him my friend. On a professional level I have the utmost respect and admiration for him. Mike is without doubt the most unique and talented athlete and physical performance trainer/coach I’ve ever met. His resume is simply astonishing. He’s worked with some of sports most elite athletes from household names like Sharron Davies and Frank Bruno to Olympic athletes Derek Redmond and Colin Jackson and top footballers Gary McAllister and Nick Barmby. He’s worked at Leeds United as their strength and conditioning coach and as a sports performance consultant for Adidas. Not only can Mike coach, he can also perform; he won a National title as a bodybuilder and his physique and athletic abilities have brought him universal respect and admiration from everyone he has worked with.

His analysis of performance and technical insights never cease to amaze me and his ability to get the best from everyone he works with is truly inspirational. I’ve personally benefited immeasurably over the years from his advice and support and I’m delighted to publicly announce that Mike and I will be working together at Physique and Performance to bring his techniques to a much wider audience than ever before. We’ll be launching a website to allow everyone to benefit from his experience and on a more personal level we’ll be providing training and consultation services to both corporations and individuals here in Edinburgh, initially in the form of both one to one and group training sessions, seminars, and gym clinics. 2012 is shaping up to be an incredibly exciting year.

It occurs to me at this point that regular readers may note the rather shocking lack of smilies in the above announcement. Trust me; I’m happy I’m very happy :)

Please now do all the FB – sharing this link on your wall would be very nice – and Twitter loveliness

Thank you
